Default New with ?s about Roush CAI

I just got my 02 GT vert last week, and have already started modding it (Magnapack exhaust). I am looking at CAIs and had my eye on the Roush one.......i wanted a plastic tube CAI. Does anyone have any experience with this CAI? I tried doing a search bust most people have BBK or JLT...

Thanks in advance!

They really give no gains, just cosmetics in the engine bay

I went with the Roush CAI because the plastic does not hold any heat.

I have one too. I got it for $100 brand new so I could not go wrong.
I wanted a fenderwell CAI with a non metal tube (<heat transfer) and this thing fit the bill and looks good too.

The filter that came with mine is a dry high flow type.
When it gets dirty I am going to take it off and match it up with a K&N and use that for the replacement.

DTK, did you get yours on ebay? That is what I pad for mine. I was not sure how you cleaned these
either. So can you clean them or not?

Yeah, I got mine from ebay. I do not think the filter is reusable.
Summit or Jegs sells a replacement Roushfilter but it is just as well to get a K&N and clean that as necessary and save some $$.
