Default 8 rib belt system

[&:] Installed a SHM 8 rib belt system on my 97 cobra, t-trim vortech, 2.75 pulley. I seem to eat belts every 300-500 miles. I am getting about 22psi boost. Have aligned all pulleys. Maybe need to reinforce blower mount so it will not move and some additional tensioning. Seems to come off after hard pull on de-acceleration. Have a hd bypass valve. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I was considering that as well. Great to hear that someone has had success with a shorter belt.

Thanks for your input
