Default Hypertech Programer

so a buddy of mine has a Hypertech programmer that he doesnt need anymore, and he really needs some cash like now. he offered it to me for a really low price. now keep in mind i dont make that much money at the moment and most of it goes tward my car payment. should i get it for this low price or keep saving for a xpipe?

his programmer is VIN lockedto hisvehicleyou wont be able to use it on your vehicle unless u mail it back to the company and pay them like $150 to unlock it.. by then you would have basically paid for a new tuner. if youre going with a handhelp tuner go with sct xcal2

If he return his car to the stock tune u can use the programmer. I bought one used for $60.00 and I suggest that u don't spend a lot of $$$ on one because of it's limited applications.

As long as he returns his car to stock first then make the move. Like I said before it has less features that the others but for $40. u can put it to good use.

Its not worth the 40 bucks. I have one and it total junk. Very limited. Best things are changing the shift firmness and shift points in an automatic. I am almost certain you lose power from it. Just wait for more responses in this thread before the purchase. SCT X-cal 2 is the way to go for sure.
