Don't do Amsoil is great, but don't use it if you change your oil ever 3-5k. It's designed for 15-20k. A friend of mine owns a shop and that's what we run in the cars here at the Sheriffs Dept. It's too expensive to change every 3-5k miles. I use castrol full synthetic and a fram oil filter.

Yeah I use the mobile 1 but was thinking of goint to royal purple but i guess I will just stay with mobile

where do you guys pick up the mobil 1?

and do the "15000" mile synthetics really only need ever 15000 miles????

it would feel weird changing that long.

I've run Amsoil with every car I have. Each gets one oil change per year (25k miles/1 year change interval). My engines don't wear and I have zero sludge. The oldest engine I tore apart had 120k miles on it and everything was in good enough shape to reuse...except the cam, it was just too small.

Oil is oil if you change it every month lol.

Autozone or wallmart. You are still going to want to change it every 3-5000 miles.

Synthetics will outperform conventional oil in any test. Conventional oils will leave sludge even with 1k mile change intervals.

Yeah synthetic is great but if you start using it at a certain mileage point your engine is already used to the standard oil. Synthetic would so be the way to always go but its so damn expensive
