Default Torque Specs

Ok so I got my heads back from the performance shop today and they look great. I put them on my car as soon as I got them home. I have the torque specs and it's as follows:
Torque to 30 ft/lbs
Tighten additional 90 degrees
Loosen one full turn
Torque to 30 ft/lbs
Tighten 90 degrees
Tighten another 90 degrees

So one of my friends calls his dad up but he is a Chevy guy and he said that you shouldn't have to loosen and tightenit so many times and maybe the specs we got where wrong. If anyone can help me out that would be great.

I sent you those specs and I got them out of my ford mustang manual DVD which is the same program the dealers use.

Yeah I said I trust oxfordgt, but his dad is pretty smart. That manual you sent me is freaking awesome and thanks again. I was just double checkin'. Car should be up and running as soon as I order the cams.
