Default Having H pipe intsall problems!!

So it has been an hour now and I have not even loosened a bolt. It seems that the 15mm deep socket won't even fit on the manifold to H pipe bolt?? why is this doing this? is it because it is still hot and the bolt has expanded? HELP!![&:]

Try a size bigger... i dont think it should swell a bolt that much.. but do be careful.. if its hot and you bare down on it, it could break.

Which manifold to midpipe bolt? The pain in the *** one on the passenger side? I found you really need a mid depth socket for that one, the really deep are too deep and wont fit and the shorter aren't deep enough. Try it on some of the other bolts first. Could you get it on any of the drivers side bolts? Midpipe to catback bolts? I'd say make sure you soaked the crap out of it for a couple of hours in PB Blaster, but I guess you're saying you can't even get the socket on at all. Are you saying the 15mm is too small? Or the deep isn't deep enough?

yeah they won't fit on any of the manifold bolts, passenger side or driver side. One question though, isn't the 5/8 the same as the 15mm. And yes they do fit on all the other bolts, h pipe to catback.by what toyou mean too deep of a socket?

K.. i couple of ideas.. try a non-metric size that close to the same.. i cant remember what it would be.. like a 3/8ths... or 9/16th.. if that doesnt work get a small crescent wrench and use some muscle.. i cant imagine why a 15 wont fit.. put get sum penetrating oil and try to loosen it up while you figure out what to do

I mean that there isn't enough room to get too deep of a socket between the bolt and the frame on the passenger side. As for being too small, do you have a wire brush you can use? Spray the bolts with some PB Blaster or whatever you have, then let them sit about a minute and give them a scrub to get any crap off of them.

if I recall... ALL the nuts and bolts in the exhaust components were all the same size on my car... so if it fits the midpipe-catback nuts/bolts, it should fit the manifold nut as well. I sprayed everything down with PB blaster, waited an hour and went at it with a breaker bar. but my car didn't have 10 years of rust and corrosion to make the nut and bolts stick. only like 3.

okay I'm gonna try and scrap of any of the corrosion to see if I can get to it. If I can't get anything soon then I'm gonna have to stop cause I will be running out of daylight and patience and need to drive it tommorow. Thanks guys and keep the ideas coming and I will be checking in A LOT.
