GT 2 Cobra swap. HELP!!!!!!!!!
Question???????
I am so lost. I am working a 98 GT to Cobra swap. Many mods. My question is when we placed the engine in the bay and mounted it in with energy suspension mounts. It sits to high to close the hood. And just so you know how much an astounding 6 inches if you place a string across the fenders and measure from the string to the to of the intake. Would anyone know why this is happening. I double checked the mounts and they are the right ones. Im lost please help.

It's not the motor mounts . the intake will rub on the hood that is why there is a hump on the Cobra hoods. If you have the hood mat in it will be even worse. When I did my swap I had to cut the hood in 2 places so the hood wouldn't rub anymore. I can get a pic of where to cut but it might be hard to see because I have a black hood. Let me know if you need more help I went through this swap 2yrs ago
