RE: Mach 1 vs. Turbo Del Sol
there has been a lot of posts on here about can i beat this car. who cares? i know i know...a lot of you guys do. but there is more to having a ride than going fast. would you rather have your mustang and lose to a del sol (ugliest car ever) or have things the other way around?

Hes gonna crush you sorry. My SRT-4 had 313 WHP, and I hung with a terminator with a headers back exhaust. He only pulled about a car from my front bumper to his rear bumper. Afterwards we both pulled over, and he said I gave him a little scare at first .
You don't stand a chance.

It's possible to get those numbers out of that car but VERY,VERY difficult and unlikely. Don't believe everything this kid tells you. Those kind of numbers on a 4 cylinder take months of planning, building and tunnig. My friend has been building a turbo H22 on his prelude for like a year and is nowhere near those numbers. (By the way the H22 is a 2.2L and the del sols have a little 1.6L)

This is what I say to people when they talk smack; I'll see it when I believe it.
350HP isn't uncommon from boost happy 4-cylinders, but it definitely is NOT easy. And that is a very large number to throw around for such a car.
Don't let him talk about it. Let him get the turbo kit and overhaul. But make sure you get some decent modifications under your belt before you start putting any money down!
But +1 to jusnkris - I could care less if I get beaten by your four cylinder; atleast I still have my back seats and air conditioning!

If he can get anything over 300 whp you'll get stomped. Those things are so light that you're gonna need a huge power advantage to overcome the weight issue.I just looked up the curb weight on those things and it says 2301 lbs. Thats over a 1000 lb. difference in the cars..so you do the math.
