get rid of the infamous 4x4 look on stock mustangs, lower center of gravity=better handling, and in some cases, the right spring (drag springs) help the car launch better. I put springs on mine to handle better and look better

I just installed H&R supersport springs which are about a 1.75" to 2" drop and so far I love the springs. It lowered it just the right amount and with the Bilstein shocks and struts and still rides like a mustang should. It took me 6 or 7 hours to install the springs/shocks and struts. It was my first time installing any of them but it wasn't hard really. Just take your time and make sure you put the front back together just like you took it off. The most important tools are a jack, jack stands, and a torque wrench. Most of my time was constantly spent looking in the garage for the tools I needed.
H&R ftw. I love the stance on my 96' GT and it took me and 2.5 -3 hours by myself. It gave me atleast a 2" drop. Looks mainly for me + the effect of the car rolling on a sharp turn being gone that stock will give you.
before with the 4x4...

I meant.. will the tires I have right now be ok if I lowered my car??? Would my tires grind in any way against the fender wells if I lowered it?? Just telll me that if I do it that I will not have problems with the tires I already have. 255/45 ZR17's all around it.
'Cause I want my car sittin' in 'da weeds! So,
1) Looks
2) Performance I guess, although my car got up to 140+ fine before, I don't see it doing it any better with the car dropped. Maybe cornering will respond better? Dunno..... In 'da weeds FTW.
P.S.: Your tires will be fine.

I lowered my car because I'm short and couldn't enter and exit the vehicle very easily.
or...
maybe I wanted my stang to handle slightly better than a ford ranger and my shocks and struts needed replacement anyway.

the front tire could possibly rub on the inside. MAYBE big chance, but either way lowering you car will cause you to fix your toe angle and doing this may leave you with zero problems. Go and do it! You wont regret it!
i took mine offroading before it was lowered and after.. with it lowered, it just cant getup as many rock climbs anymore.... although, it got stuck in the mud also when it was lowered (literally, it actually did. lol)
