what it the top speed of a 2003 gt it says 150 but mine will not go over 140 and i have a hypertech programer to take the limter off.....

I hit 145 once, it will probably do 150+ but by then your covering so much ground so fast anything can happen... just my .05

your car has no speed limiter from the factory. the speed that a cars speedometer goes up to in not the top speed.

same, but boy does it get up to 135 before you know it. id imagine that 135-155 would take alota time, to much time to be going that fast if you ask me.

I've hit about 125, but wont go any higher. Why do people wanna go to 140 and 150+? I just dont think my life is worth seeing what 140+ is like, especially with a stock GT or something, handling would suck going that fast. I could see if your car ran 9's or something and you were trapping in the 140's, but other than that, I wouldnt do it.

I did 155mph with a stock IROC-Z and let me tell you when I say the front was all over the place it was all over, even in that set-up! Very floaty. I did 138 in my stang with stock springs and it was kinda scary. I was okay in the straight but when the road curved slightly on the highway my foot was shakin on the pedal to let off..lol

I got an idea!!!??? Cut your springs like you just talked about and then do 140mph. Post a reply to let us know you lived!!!!!

Its not that bad. I have a pic with the car pinning the speedo, RPM calc said it was 163 MPH.

The car was handling fine, but I definatly wasn't going around any corners.Theres a huge straight strech near my hometown on the river bottom perfect for high speed runs.

Warped rotors though? The last thing you want to do at superhigh speeds is slam on the brakes
