Cat question
Can someone tell me the rules / laws on removing cats? I am from PA and from what I gather it is illegal to remove them but if you drive less than 5K miles a year you do not have to have them. In my case I have no intention of selling my car and last year I put on 1800 miles so they skipped emissions. I would appreciate any info you guys could give me

I just title my car in another county so I don't have to go through emissions. If you remove them and get the MIL eliminators all they do is plug the thing into your computer and it will come up fine and you'll pass. Now if they look under the car your screwed. The best bet is to hollow out your cats and you'll pass everytime even if they look under the car.
in PA you will fail the emissions part of your annual inspection if you take the cats off. as far as the low miles goes...i think you might be able to register your car a different way than the norm, but check into that on PA's motor vehicle website.
