Heart Attack
Basically I almost had a hard attack at the shop today. I'm new to this whole modding thing and around September I picked up a 1998 Mustang GT. It was in alright condition, I suppose. But its got about 108,000miles. Anywas, I almost had a heart attack when I brought it to Meineke(the people I trust with my car) and the mechanic I know there said that my O2 censors in the back we're f***ed and miss firing and that I'd need to get a new Cat Bar with sensors and everything. And that the nearest factory range on that would be $1,600. Hence the heart attack.
Anyone have any pointers on what to do in my situation for less money and better performing aftermarket products?

if anything replace the rear o2's and see how that goes.

yeah.. someones trying to stick it to you on this one. Take it to a real shop.. someone that works with performance vehicles would be the best since they have a reputation to keep up... and dont tell them what the "national chain" AKA complete and total rip off with low grade mechanics who cant open their own shop said till after they give you what they thing is wrong.

Would just getting a whole new cat back system work better than just adding to the old one?

But yes, its better to get a full catback.
