nope, i was running a Vortech V2-SQ S-trim aftercooled at 10psi...

the engine work has been kinda pricey... so far i have probably over 6k invested just in the build...

heads: 1k
shortblock and accessories: 4k
gaskets and some other stuff: 700
cams: 500
valve springs: 225....

just a bunch of stuff that adds up... i still have to buy some 60lb injectors and get some dual cobra pumps or something.

Are you gonna swap out the SQ for a T or something? Not to put a damper on anything here, but with the SQ, even with a new 8 rib setup, I think your gonna be shredding belts and maybe even max out the blower.

T trim FTW.

i will be close to the max of the blower... actually, it will just about be maxed out... i want to geta T trim but i cant afford one for a few months... i may run some nitrous to get the power i want.. but i would rather have it with boost and all the time.. im also going to run the RR pulley to try and keep from slipping my belt... im told to run the 2.80 pulley on my new setup by vortech because i will be shifting at 7200-7500rpms

From what I have heard the SQ likes to rip up belts almost no matter what if you exceed about 550-600. 600+ on a SQ... its gonna be difficult but you might get there with the ported heads etc... its been done before. 700 WHP though....

Gonna be stout either way. Plus, you can always sell the SQ later and buy a T trim for more boost. The T should get the same job done with a less agressive pulley and not rip up the belts as much, just make sure you keep a set of vice grips and a pump pliers in the car along with an extra belt (stupid vortech bracket covering up the tensioner socket slot FTL!)

actually i have learned to move the tensioner on a vortech car.. you need to get a long *** screw driver, and you are able to pry that damn tensioner up... lol.. kinda redneck but it works.. as of now, i have to use a shoe thing for the heel to get the belt on, thats how tight it is on my motor.. that is also including the tensioner maxed out... i didnt get one of the belt tensioners in my kit when i got it used but i still got that belt to work with it... with the smaller pulley on the blower, it should go on alot easier i think... but yes, i will keep the belt i have on the car now, in the trunk.. and will be running a brand new belt with what i will have... i am going to try and find a very good tuner for the car to get the most power out of it that i can... with stage 3 cams, and some nice heads, im hoping it will flow lots of air.. im just worried about fuel and air right now... im not sure how to make a dual cobra pump work on the car... and also where i can get some decent priced 60lb injectors without raping me in the ***... im going to sell my 42lb injectors and maybe 90mm maf if anyone is intrested.. i havent decided if they will go yet... i will wait a few months till i can afford the new injectors etc...

its going in when i buy a new k member and also a new throwout bearing... might as well replace the throwout bearing while i have it out of the car... that way i dont need to replace it in the near future..

i say within a month and she will be running again... in 2 weeks i will have another pay check and also my tax money so it should be good to go then..

How far are you from MPH in atlanta. I am gonna drive 12+ hours there for a tune when my SB goes in.. imo they are simply the best. LOTS of 600+ whp 2vs coming out of there.

On the tensioner, what I do is clamp a GOOD (not cheap) set of vice grips on one of the ribs on the tensioner. Then, I take a set of adjustable jaw pliers, put em on the vice grip, and use that to turn it. Goes on/comes off easy with the right tool.

Get yourself a gatorback belt when you do it, supposed to be the best. I have not had any belt issues but I think I am gonna upgrade soon just for peice of mind (stil on the stock vortech belt).

Fuel wise, I thought the dual pumps/cobra setup was a direct drop in? If that doesn't get it done, get a BAP for the dual tank setup and you should have no problems.

I dunno about the 60 pounders... I think they are about the same price everywhere. MPH has them on their website.
