Default Whining Noise

When I started my stang last night to go to work I had a bad misfire from the engine for about 3 seconds, and then the car stalled. Then when I tried to re-start the engine I get a high pitch whining noise, did my starter go out and whywould the engine misfire like it did.

I doubt anything happened to your starter?

Did you happen to blow out a spark plug by any chance? Does the whine happen with the starter engaging?

So does your car start at all now? Does it sound like the starter is spinning freely (must faster than before)??

No it doesn't start at all now, and it does sound like its spinning freely, and yes much faster.
My buddy that does car work out of his van just called, I'm going to have him take a look at it.
I wouldn't think it would be the starter, I dont even have 43,000 miles on her yet, or could it be.

It's possible the starter didn't disengage and when the engine tried to fire it stripped the teeth and caused your engine to mis-fire & then stall.

Starters randomly break all the time. I think in your case, you should hope and pray it's the starter. Can you feel the engine cranking at all or does the starter sound like it's spinning freely with no turning of your engine?

Have someone start the car and take a look at the serpentine belt, that'll be an easy way to see if the starter is the problem..

Yes it just sounds like it spinning freely, and no I don't fell the engine turning at all.
My buddy won't be here for another couple of hours to be able to look while I try to start her.
So are you saying I might have just striped the teeth form the starter, I sure hope so thats no biggie for us.
You don't think that harmed my flywheel do ya.

It's possible it could have damaged your flywheel.

I would figure since the car mis-fired hard and stalled that the starter never disengaged. It's possible that it's not damaged at all & the shaft is stuck and a good rap on it will solve the problem.
