Professional Products Typhoon Intake??? LOST POWER!!!

RE: Professional Products Typhoon Intake??? LOST POWER!!!
Alot of people over on modulardepot / modularfords have had issues with this intake either not making anymore power- or loosing power. A couple others blew the lower 1/3 of the intake off under high boost and nitrous. I was seriously thinking about buying this intake a few weeks back- but after doing a whole lot of reading and research on it over on mod depot and mod fords...I couldnt find a single positive first hand experience, and the testimonies of them blowing under high boost / nitrous scared me for being a metal intake...needless to say I just stuck with a newer PI intake.

What was your air fuel ratio? What kind of dyno? I have a feeling its a mustang dyno since you dynoed 208 stock? If you dynoed 208 stock and put down 280 with ported heads/cams that would be about right, as it looks to be around 305-310 WHP if you were on a dynojet (or just dynoed 225-230 stock).
The injectors and MAF arn't nessicarry, but if its tuned should not have hurt it. but nobody ever listens when I say the stock PI intake is a DECENT peice for the stock RPM and powerlevels of a bolton only/mild engine work PI car. Unless you have a shortblock that will take 6500+ RPM you don't need any aftermarket intake (unless you want metal for nitrous).

Trust me I am almost there. The dyno was one of those hydro types. Where they take off the wheels and bolt on to the axles. I am gonna trouble shoot some more and than make my final decission...
