Default posi on a 99 mustang GT?! is this normal?

i have a 99 mustang GT 5-speed, and when doing a burnout it will pull posi if i do a brake tourqe or take off straight, if i turn left it will also pull posi and whip around, but whenever im going right it doesnt pull posi and only one wheel (right) will spin. Is this normal?

Its because of the limited slip rear-end. If you are gonna get a gear get it rebuilt or spend the extra money and get a good carrier....

never heard anyone call it "pulling posi" before..hmmm. But you do have a limited slip as saidabove and if the symptoms of spinning one way but not the other become excessive then you may need to be looking at a new diffy because your clutch packs in the one you have now may be starting to go...if your still smoking both wheels on a peel out then your still good.

if you're hefty like me, and whip it right... one tire goes, and it sucks... that's what I figure, becuase I weigh about 295 pounds...

get the trac-lock rebuild kit from ford racing. it's a hell of a lot cheaper than a new unit

but if he plans on racing, it's better (IMO) to get a heavy duty until that's going to last. I know of too many people that went that route and regretted it later when they tore it up. If you are going to go into the rear, do it once and do it right. It'll cost you more in the long run to have to redo it.
