I have aftermarket pulleys on my 98 GT and when the motors cold or i am first starting it they squeek really bad. It is annoying as hell and embarrasing if anybody has advice or how i can fix this that would kick ***. They are BBK underdrive pulleys if that makes a difference. Thanks.

 

Is the belt tight? The tensioner should be pulled back pretty decent.

When I got my underdrives I didn't have any issues, but I went to the parts store anyway and asked for a belt 1 size smaller than stock. It was a tight fit, but it sure wasn't going to slip any.

 

Yeah i dont know i guess i could run down to the garage and check real quick....

 

The belt isn't like super tight i mean i can pull on it and it will come out about an inch.....is that too much?

 

i had BBK u/d pullies and mine would squeel a little bit when i would turn on the a/c. ive heard of people having issues with the BBK pullies and noise problems.
