I have a 98 mustang gt and when i am at a red light and it turns green i have a huge problem. When i release the clutch and press the gas it dosent start to go after a while, kinda of jerks a bit. It rides and shifts fine after it starts going. IS THIS A CLUCTH PROBLEM OR A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM? THANKS GUYS

I'd check the fluid, see if it has metal in it, that will let you know if its a trans problem.

He has a 5spd not an auto..lol Yeah sounds like your clutch is bad! A whining noise is usually from a bad throwout bearing, but the slip is from the pressure plate! Has nothing to do with your fluids

Is it screeching? I had an issue with my clutch a while back - it was screeching... it ended up being a Throwout bearing, which in turn makes you need a new: clutch and flywheel normally. Good luck man.
