I got a price for a auto to manual swap today on my 03gt. Just wondering if you think the list of part's he gave me is right. He mentioned nothing about a new driveshaft, or transcrossmember. He also said i would need a sct chip for the new computer. Don't get that if it's a manual computer why do you need a chip? I already have a handheld sct tuner. He want's 5300 for it all, think i'll be buying the stuff myself. Well here's the list.

Why? Is your auto shot or something? A torque converter with a higher stall, trans cooler, and blower set up will cost less than $5300. Oh by the way that will outperform a manual as well [&:]

No, it's not shot. I never get to the track, and i think the stick would be more fun. I have a friend that said he can do it. Thinking about letting him try. I'm gonna try to get some used parts to, to save money.

And also when your doing 40mph, and a car come's up beside you, you can't downshift. That suck's when a guy in a stick jump's out on you.

It takes about 2 tenths of a second when you hit it for your car to downshift and take off... your stock auto can do that.. add a blower and it won't really matter what gear your cruising in will it? Just seems like a big waste of money too me, but its your car and your money. I wish you luck either way.
