THe magazine says that it was done on thier COMPLETELY Stock 02GT. But who knows, most of the times the numbers are BS. the price they have is $799.
From the Magazine:
"As we expected the Stang with the Track heat in place(new Intake), showed us a lot more low-rev torque than it made in stock trim. It was interesting to see the stocker make a comeback in the Mid rpm range with torque roughly 6lb-ft better than the Test stang with the Track Heat installed(so you lose 6ft -lb torque Mid rpms). THe Real deal is by the 6k rpm the stock manifold drops off to around 211hp while trackheats horsepower figure is about 20horses better at same RPM. "

IMO not worth it. save that 800+ and throw it into a Used Centrini

I rarely believe what I read about HP claims for any mod. They do that to sell parts. You can dyno the same car back to back with no changes at all and see a gain on the dyno. People can also mess with the dyno to inflate numbers. Until someone I know or someone who has nothing to gain in the sale of any product posts number I don't pay it any attention.

also I didn't see that ad but must companies put in little catch phrases like "up to", "as much as" and "can produce" . Most ads read like "our brand 'x'cold air kitcan produce up to 20 rwhp. You get it and only see a gain of 2 rwhp, then you realize that up not means "no more than" and 2 rwhp is not more than 20 rwhp.

plus if they have a dyno graph showing whatever gains they had then they can say it. a dyno is easy to manipulate to get what you want out of it

exactly. I'm sure on a mustang dyno you could enter a different weight of the vehicle (which won't show on a graph) and see a huge gain.
