I've seen PI engine for around $1,000. A PI swap parts are around $500-$750.

You can find used heads for fairly cheap.If you are going to do the swap do the whole thing at the same time,because if you dont you will want to later.

if you replaced the engine would u need the tremec tranny? And how much (ballpark) would a swap cost for my mechanic to do it.

PI Cams and intake. Cams can swap in from above the heads without removing front cover or adjusting timing, takes a few hours more than just doing intake alone and if you search enough there are dyno #'s to prove this is almost as good as intake and heads. I did both for under $300, 1 weekend.

I dont think the 5.0 will fit correctly, i read they needed a redesigned k memeer becuase the 4.6 is taller.
