RE: Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-back
I still wonder why Flowmaster's hasn't ever come out with a stainless steel version of their catbacks and the aluminized ones as well. Just looks like it would be better for their business and better quality for us[:-]

true, the business may go up, but do remember that the different types of metal you use can have great affects on the resonance and overall sound of the car...certain metals will produce a deeper tone, but their muffler technology I agree would be quite nice in a stainless steel set up.....one muffler for life

I have them on my 2000 gt with the upr o/r x and they sound sick, until last week when the inside of one of them rusted out now it sounds like ***, so yes they do rust from the inside out. get slp

lol my concern is how do you know its rusting on the inside, i had flows for 2 years now and im not sure if they are rusting on the inside. no rust comes out the tail pipe. and I live in MI, and drive my car in the snow. tonns of salt all over the road.

Rust is why I went with a stainless mac. It's damn deep and loud and won't rust. It's very similar to Flows. My buddy with a camaro with flows on it says my setup is louder than his. I got it on the cheap from fasttoys.net ($363)

yeah, the stock H has what... 6 cats or something? Call 'em 6 mini-mufflers.
An O/R-H with Flows will be pretty damn loud. People say they can hear my car 1/2 mile away under throttle and at a couple hundred yards just coasting.
