Fuel pump
My fuel pump went out last summer and the Stang has been in storage all winter. I just got quoted for a price and was told it was $390 just for the part. Is it just me or does that seem completely outrageous. I have a 98 GT, and I was not expecting it to be that much at all.

RE: Fuel pump
Just ordered one 5 minutes ago from the Ford dealership next door to me for $157. Someone is sticking it to you.
If you have a Ford dealer close by do this, call the parts department and tell them that you are Joe from the Chev store down the street and you would like to know if they have a pump for the car you are looking for. Then when the parts guy says yeah I have one for $XXX then tell them you will be down to pick it up and it's not for resale. That way they charge you personally and you pay the tax on it like a normal transaction.
Easy enough?
