i assume you mean the bar that goes near the back seat on a vert.. i looked into it.. it seemed so difficult i actually stopped researching prices. lots of body work, that i would rather leave to a pro

There's a thread discussing light bars in the "convertivble" subsection of this site.. check it out.

Personally I think they look OK,, but you need to cut up interior panels to install it,, it doesn't provide any rollover protection at all,, and itmakes the rear seat even more useless than it already is..

Ihad a shop do it, I think he charged me around $300. Got it back the same day.
I wouldn't go cutting up my interior, I was too scared, one mess up and you're screwed.
Have a pro do it.
But now you'll have to get the Saleen Tonneau Cover too, thats about $500 for the unit, another $500 to paint it.
It was worth it though, my car rally stands out in the crowd.

I put one in my 99gt vert. Took 4 or 5 hrs. Had to remove rear seat, remove rear panels, speakers. The kit came with templates for cutting the panels. No biggie. Just get all the correct tools the kit calls for (hole saw bits, etc.) I even wired up a switch to keep the brake light off when the top was up. I spent maybe $50 in parts ( I bought a rivet gun, etc.). Shops will charge around $300 just in labor. Get the CDC bar, they are the best out there. Mine was well worth it.

yeah I installed mine myself. it wasnt that difficult. I also got the optional brake light shut off switch. If you got moderate mechanical skills you can handle it

it wasn't difficult, maybe 3 hours. really no big deal, just have to get around that awful feeling of cutting and drillinginto your car. got mine from CDC. instructions are great. no problem.
