Default Will 2003 Mach1 springs and shocks lower the front of my 96' V6? Weight differences in engines

Hey everyone;

I have an extra K-Member from an 03' Mach1 that has new suspension on it. I am doing acomplete 2000 splitport V6 swap in my wifes 96' V6. The engine is out and this is the best time for me to complete a lot of upgrades I have been meaning to do.

My question is: Will the stock 03' Mach1 springs and shocks lower the front of the 96' V6 front end and offer better handling? It is also getting the Mach1 sway bar.

I really cant remember if it did or didnt. I knew at one time what the answer was to this question, and I am leaning to that it does lower it more than the stock V6 because the weight of the aluminum mod motor is about the same as the cast iron V6. Not to mention that the stock V6 has like 4" of fender clearance. But I need everyones help just to make sure that this is true before I do all this work.

Thanks everyone.

Assuming that V6 engine weighs as much as a 4.6 Mach 1, yeah it should lower the car. And do you have pics of that 95 in your sig, looks interesting.

I just have pictures of the car and a few of my wifes cars. These pictures are not to long after I got the car, I dont have any pics of how it is now. Needless to say the paint fell off in one huge sheet on the pass side door. Thats about the only cosmetic thing that has changed I guess.

Here is Penny in San Fran.

Some pix back home in Sacramento (Citrus Heights) And you get to see my craptastic 75' Elky in the background before I sold it. You can also see the top of my wifes 68' on the other side.

Here are some pix of my wifes 300ZX and her moms 71' Mach1.

My wife, April.

And some pix of my El Camino back up in Redding.

Dads T-Bird in the background. Learned how to drive in that car.

Here is a pic of the elky, the t-bird and my first car in the garage, a 70' Chevelle Malibu.

Here is a better pic of the chevelle.

And lastly but not least, a picture of my daughter last July infront of my F150 "Clifford" Because he is a big red dog
