RE: loud screech when I let off of the throttle
Well God gave me an extra finger on the right hand because of the incredible package he blessed me with down south. So the extra two inches in width of the palm really helps when I have to grab the monster.

so it might be my belt.....well would that explain why an '03 with less than 5K miles would be squeaking ? My parents dont even drive their stang as much, I put most of the miles on it

I have a auto 98 GT, and when I lay on the throttle, of course the car pushes all of the 225 HP to the wheels (yeah I know weak), but when I let off, there is a loud screech sound. Is this normal ? My parents 03 GT did it too.....is that normal for all mustangs or was there something wrong with them both ?

well I dont know, it only makes that sound when I hit the pedal to the floor, and then let off after it goes through all the gears

I would doubt it just because you say it happens when you let OFF. If it were the belt I would say it would be more prone to do it under acceleration.

So how does this apply to a car that first starts up and the belt squeals like a pig? It isnt under any acceleration. Different situations cause different actions.
