just put cams in with new springs(comp 278's) ptv clearances were checked,timing.is right on. problem is a few of the lifters were hydrolocked so i put them in the vice to sqeeze some oil out(seen it in a ford mag)before assembly so i could get the rockers installed. that worked fine. but when i started it in runs and idles fine, but it clatters like a diesel! i let it warm up hopeing that would fill those lifters,no luck.anybody with serious knowledge i need help. my dynoshop guy is off til monday. 4.6 2v.

sounds like the lifters are not pumping up like they should be.. my 2cents
