whats your doin?
well, I suppose its usually the car turning over slow or not at all (solenoid bad). gets worse in the winter because the battery isnt as strong and the engine is harder to turn over when its cold. other things too like a worn bendix makin a grinding noise on startup.

Yeah... when it starts grinding you have to pop the hood and turn the belt by hand a little to get the teeth on the flywheel repositioned on the teeth on the starter. The starter on my Hummer went out like ten million times and I learned how to replace it blind folded.
