Just about every one on here will tell you how the 96-98 GTs are dogs, and dont waste your time. The 99+ are PI engines (power improved) which means instead of 215-225 like in th 96-98s, you get better heads cames and intake and a jump to 265 hp. But you can alway do a PI swap on a 96-98 n get just a bout the same HP (actualy a little more because of a jump in compression).

I like the older bodys better than the newer ones....also the PI swaps run around about a grand right? and how would this engine work with 130,000 miles

ive been used to japanese cars all my life and they easily hit almost 200k+

I have 95k, mine is holding up great.... Yea they are not the fastest, but you can make them....If you go with 96-98 get the 98... it has ten more horse power then the 96-97.... To me 130K is kinda alot, but it is priced reasonable.

Yep, they may be slower but they looks better, and after some work they are just as fast.

you dont buy a mustang for gas mileage, and you dont buy a 96-98 mustang to go fast, sure they can be made to go fast, but thats alot of money you could just put into a different car to make it faster

anythings better than a scion though, its like the reject import
