Default CLEANING ENGINE?

what do you guys use to clean your engine. last night i bought some ultra brite engine gel degreaser, and it left a white residue all over my engine. so today i bought some black magic degreaser, and it helped but it's still not as clean as i would like it. and theres still some white residue left.

I personally use Cleaning wipes, I'm not sold on the "Spray all over engine, rinse off" theory. Armor all cleaning/orange/protectant wipes work great. Just requires elbow grease.

I use some kind of Orange/citrus smelling degresser. Cant remember the name. I spray down the engine compartment, let it soak for a few minutes, and then power wash it. I just avoid hitting most of the electral areas with direct contact. Let it dry...then I wipe down all the plastic and rubber with wd40 or armor all.

Dont know if its right, but thats what I do. Been doing it for 60k miles, and no problems yet...

I go to the car wash and with light pressure rinse the motor off, then I spray simple green over everything and shut the hood (let it steam due to the engines heat), wash the rest of the car then pop the hood and rinse the motor off with light pressure. wipe dry and follow up with armour all wipes.

I just went to the car wash, used that power washer and used mean green and a tooth brush. Then used armor all on plastics and hoses.

And your sig is too big, theres a 500 pixel width limit.
