You should just need an NGK TR6 (one step colder)... If you want to, you could go two steps colder to a BR7EF, but the car runs a little bit different. It's hard starting. I have that problem right now. I'm considering getting it re tuned with less timing so I can run the TR6.

How much difference do plugs make? I had Denso Iridiums for me Honda and I liked them, would they do good for a stock Mustang?

I put some AC Delco iridiums in the TA when we did the headers. $52 bucks with a 100k guarentee I think. I can't tell a difference in them though....

what exactly do the plugs do? this may be a stupid question... but what makes the NGK better than the normal ones? and what are the different types?

not sure about the particulars on the iridiums, copper plugs are a better conducter so those are good performance plugs... copper just doesnt last long. Platinum isn't very good for performance but they last a LONG time. The iridiums are just good, dunno why though or what their made of.
