All i can tell you that if you dont like an X-pipe then you havent listend to the mustang on YouTube. go there and in the search box type in "white mustang lx". It should be a 87-93 White Hatch, with white cobra r's. Sounds bad ***. One of the only 5.0's that i know that has an Xpipe.

As for the 4.6. Get a UPR X-pipe and 40 series Flowmasters. Great Combo. the flows will give you that distinct muscle car sound, but better flow due to the Xpipe.
I have the UPR O/R X with my stock mufflers. I get questions all the time about what type of exhaust I have. Most people don't believe me when I tell them the mufflers are stock, and the only change was the X pipe.
Sounds great doesn't it. Matter of fact on my way to work this morning in Charleston, SC, A guy in a new GTO was complimenting it...."sounds awesome man!"

its impossible to make a mustang sound rice. even if your dumb enuff to put a fart can on the back it wont sound rice. From my experience the X pipe gives a more high pitched racey type nascar sound while the h sounds more hot roddish. I love my MAC O/R H because its sooo deep and people ask if im running a big block

i also taked to this dude and he....An h-pipe looses it effectiveness after about 3200 rpms and with the
Prochamber it is an x-pipe/h-pipe and forces the gases together. This gives
you a better sound and more effective mid-pipe.

Depends on how obnoxious you want to be. The loud mouths are exactly what they advertise as far as LOUD!It's a also a matter how you want to advertise your car.

No kidding...you'd be surprised what you can learn here just by reading for an hour. More reading=less posting and more information in a short period of time, at least for the basic questions that are asked every three hours. I guarantee that X vs H pipe is discussed again on the first or second page of this forum.

an x pipe sounds nothing like rice. it is a nice high performance sound, and supposed to be worth a few extra hp. short x pipe and long tubes ftw.
