Default Update on mach460 install.

Well after 2 months, i have gutted basically the entire car including trunk and interior, replaced teh entire body harness, installed teh rear deck and headunit. Now i am just waiting on the door haress' and tweeters and am still looking for the harness that plugs into the head unit.
Biggest PITA ever. Anyone know any companies that sells salvaged parts?

Hang on.. are you installing a Mach460 system into a Stang that didn't have it? What for? Aftermarket stuff is cheaper & more flexible for growth

Yeah, if you actually look at the specs, and understand the numbers, the Mach 460 is pretty crappy compared to aftermarket options. Sound clarity, Noise ratio, all that good stuff. I was thinking about adding to my 460, but after checking out that stuff, I just want to start over with a whole new system. Unfortunately I keep buying perfoemance mods instead of audio.

I loved the mach system as factory. When I decided I wanted to throw in an amp and subs, I ran into problems. The guys at Circuit City instlled a crossover or something to tie the amp into the back of the car, but it didnt put out enough output and you couldnt even tell I had subs. That was a bitch, but they refunded my money because they said it would work, when in reality it didnt.

I since replaced all audio with aftermarket. Boy, do I miss that indash cd changer though.
