I know this is from an older post but when I checked out the TSB I noticed that it was talking about Mustangs between the years of '02 to '04. I have this same exact annoying noise coming from my car and I was just wondering whether this TSB would also relate to a '00as well. If you guys/gals say "yes" then I'll know what to do.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone out there and especially to all the brave men and women in uniform. [sm=americanasmiley.gif]

The steering rack and its mounting on the early "new-edge" models is no different than that of the later models, therefore I would at least stick my head under there while someone "racks" the steering wheel back and forth. If the creaking is coincident with side to side motion of the rack then you've got it!
