Default Steering Concern

Hey everyone

I have my wheels turned straight. When I turnthe steering wheel a little to the left and a little to the right and do it either quick or slow, it squeaks. The squeaking sound iscoming from underneath the hood. Anyone know what's up? Now it not a constant squeak... only squeaks when I initially turn it from thefoward position either left or right.

Thank you

Is it safe?

Sounds like the power steering pulley/belt is slipping, or you're low on power steering fluid.

No no no. It's not squeeling it's squeaking like a door hinge. I knew I left something out.

I think you probably have the steering TSB, check out this thread for details https://mustangforums.com/m_2973840/tm.htm
It is not dangerous, just an annoying noise.

Makes sense No wonder why the dealership new exactly what it was. I just have to wait until Tuesday before I get it fixed. I forgot to ask him what it was. That's why I asked here. Thanks Clarehills
