with full bolt-on's and 4.10's i pulled stock ls1's. when he gets better at driving your cheapest route to beat him would probably be 4.30's and a nice set of drag radials.
Hmmm idk if i wanna go that far with 4:30's i was gonna do 3:90's or 3:73 , especially since it seems like im going F/I soon. i heard u should go that high with F/I
It was a 3rd gear roll, and ik that those cars are much better on rolls instead of a dig. the other advantage is this is his first 5spd and ive been driving a 5spd for 5yrs.
Yea it takes a while to get used to launching a manual. I sucked *** unitl i got about 10 runs under my belt.
i have bolt ons 373s and cams and have no problem running dead even with my bestfreinds 2000z28 with 4.10s exaust lid and lightweight flywheel from a dig AND a roll, both of us are above average drivers, there is no need to tell me he cant drive its been done time and time again
You must be one HELL of a driver then. My trans am went 13.24 last week with just a cat back and good street tires. I had full bolt on'sand 3.73'sin my 99 gt.I didnt have cams, and could only get a best of 13.68 with good street tires. That Z28 shouldatleast be in the high12's with those mods.
a full bolt on 2v has a chance against a stock ls1 with a crappy driver...add a shot of nitrous and your golden. if you have the money i say blower, but i think you said you wanted to stay n/a. and by the way n/a 2vs just dont make the power to keep up with an ls1, youll need some sort of FI. blower FTW
Agree...N/A the 2v heads just dont flow enough to make any real power...(400+ plus).....even the CNC'd heads flow crap compared to other heads....thats kinda why I decided to "Force Feed it"......LOL
as bad as this sounds the stock t/b and plenum outflow the heads, even ported heads just cant get the air through. your only option is to go with some type of FI.
