To all of you who recomended the H pipe to me.... I hate you!!
My last setup was BBK o/r X and flows.... I should have just changed the cat back...

I got the mac o/r H on today and i hate the sound so bad.... It is quieter and sounds almost stockish to me.... And their is a ticking noise! I told the shop who did it for me and they looked for a leak for about 30 minutes and said nope... Its just the way it sounds....

So if anyone is in the Tulsa oklahoma area.... Or near OKC ill be around and you can come take this H pipe off my hands!

Ok now after driving around for awile.... I like the H pipes tone and such but i dont understand why its so quiet? You cant hear it in the distance and it doesn not sound mean at all..... Is it because my flows are just weld in? Or are Xs just alot louder?

don't pay them anymore work something out...tell them its not suppose to tick so put the other one back on or you want your money back

If you're h pipe sounds stock, then theres something wrong. Minewas just as loud as an X, just has a different sound. Mine alsohad a ticking type sound for about a week after I installed it. Give it some time and see if it goes away.

lol, give it time and hope it goes away? I doubt that actually works for anything other than a runny nose.

sounds like you have a leak. ticking noise = leak. if you want to find out where your leak is, drive around for a couple days and then look under the car for soot spots.

...plus a midpipe you can install yourself. i wouldnt touch headers...but a midpipe/catback is something that barely requires any knowledge. and im not that mechanically inclined. seems like a waste of $100.

H pipes are normaly deeper and sound more throaty than an x pipe. Did you get a catted H pipe? sure it wasnt a stock one they put in?


And its a really easy install to do yourself if you have a jack and stands.. and if you dont it'lll be cheaper to go buy a jack and stands than to pay a shop to do the install. Its 8 bolts total and if they have just been removed then they should come out real easy for you (no rust issues). It shouldnt take more than an hour to do on your own. Save yourself some cash... if you dont have a jack and stand you can pick up a cheaper jack and 2 sets of stands (4 total) for around 60 bucks.
