engine light is on...

RE: engine light is on...
Your going to get rapped at a dealership, do you know anyone with a handheld tuner that can read the code. My Predator and sct tuner both read codes and thats one of the few things anybodys tuner can do with multiple cars. Another question, did you just put in the cold air kit, did you forget to reattach your MAF. I just did it the other day by accident when I had to change my plugs. You can also try and disconnect the battery for a half hour and see if the engine light comes back on. I don't think a dirty filter would make a light come on, but it's possible something got thru the filter or you sprayed to much oil on your filter and the oil is on your MASS AIR SENSOR and it's not operating correctly.. Im just taking long shot guesses because you havn't tolds us allot of info. Im just going off issue I had w/ my car. The tuner can also erase the code.

OH no, i didn't install the cold air.
I purchased the car 2 months ago. the cold air was already installed when i bought it.
the only think i did to the car is upgrade my stereo system with new HU, Amp and sub.

I'm planning to get new rims and tires. i hope this is not expensive or else no rims and tires till next month.
Right now i have 225/50/17 in front and 275/40/17 in the rear. would a 245/40/18 f and 275/35/18 fit my stang?
