So i was changing out the rims on my car right... and one of the threaded shafts that you screw the lug nuts onto broke off, maybe i tightened it to tight, how do you fix that?

okay, take the wheel back off and on the hub (the plate that holds the 5 studs) there should be a rounded metal cap, pry it off with a flat head screw driver, There is a big nut that you'll see, I forget the size. remove the nut and take the hub off. You can either buy a new hub from the auto parts store or get a new stud. If you replace just the studs, take the hub and support it on something (block of wood) with the studs facing up and the back of the hub of the wood. The stud may have a metal ring that holds it onto the hub, if so get a pair of dykes and cut it off. Now take a hammer and beat the old stud out. You'll then have to place the new stud in and probably run it into the hub using the nut and an impact gun to draw it in. Hope this helps

Only problem w/ that is that if you decide to go get a new hub, you'll either need to buy the entire Hub/Bearing assy. or you'll have to have the old hub pressed out, and the new hub pressed in..
Much easier to just knock the old stud out and put a new one in.. Although if you don't have an impact gun, then use a good ratchet w/ some leverage or a breaker bar..
Oh yeah, and torque your lugnuts for the love of god....
