Yeah Ford has a problem with stock cobra IRS as in it sucks. Stock youll be just fine and dandy but once you start making power you're going to hate the hop. Get a mach 1. Even though 01 cobra's have nicer interiors the mach on has the solid rear.

Doed the 03 and 04 cobra do the same or better

cobra FTW!! I have all poly bushings in the rear end with Bilstein shocks and IRS brace. With this done and a good set of tires I can launch at around 4k and not wheel hop

see thats what im talking about. I really like both cars but i think the cobra is gonna be more worth it down the road.To bad we cant compare both cars side by side mod for mod and se what motor produces more hp. Unless everyone just posts there mods and hp and tq read out.

The 03-04 is slightly better, stiffer rubber bushings but...still rubber and compliantbut far greater than the paper they stuffed in the 99 and 01. The IRS can be built to handle...full bushings, couple braces, DR'sand shocks and you'll reduce wheel hop greatly. In short I think you should pick the 01 ifride quality or corning ability matter more to you. If it doesn't fit that criteria, themach should handle you fine...not to mention it looks mean

Isee them at least 5,000 cheeper for a cobra but i never kelly bue booked either of them thoe.

If you get a 99, make sure the fix has been done and that you're getting a Teksid block.

Ialready know about the lack of Hp for the 99 cobra. But dont know much about the teskid block whats up with that????????????

It's a much stronger and desirable block manufactured in Italy. They were only in the first few thousand 99's. Also the "fixed" 99s can be identified by a blue or green dot on the intake right next to the alternator, and some have a sticker on the inside of the hood.
