Better pics of the bar
Instead of posting in the thread with all the bickering in it, I decided to start a new thread.
The roll bar turned out okay... I am still a little peeved at the complete lack of instructions and the placement of the bar.. but it looks a little better than I thought at first, the top is clearing and its not pushing up against it like I origanlly thought, and after driving with it I could tell it helped stiffen the suspension even more than it already was.. Hit a little bump down the street from me and I could tell right away it made a difference in rigidity. My biggest complaint is it looks a little to high.. its the right distance from the head rest when its extended, right at 6", but when they are pushed down its 8".. just a little to far for my liking.
I would still reccomend anyone with a vert get a custom weld in done though.
here are the pics.. since the backseat wont go in, I used some coth and double sided tape and made my own little $3 temporary seat delete untill I can get it into an upholstry person to either cut and fix my seat or to make a cover for it.

RE: Better pics of the bar
Good photos, I have been wondering how it would look when I caged my vert. Looksgood, I'll agree it looks alittle high, but it is a convertable so with the top downit will.Is there a 6-point set up? Something with a front hoop and A-pillar rails?

Looks good HaV[8D] you should post those pics in the "official verts pics" thread in the vert sub-forum.. quite a few vert ppl are always asking rollbar questions.
Is a 4-point bar sufficient for NHRA rules that says a vert needs a cage?
I think it'd look even better if the bars where "thicker". Maybe wrap them in some sort of black insulation stuff or something?

it doesnt look to bad. my only question is why are we putting "cages" in our verts when according to NHRA rules we dont need one unless were at 10.99/135mph or faster. we need a "roll bar" 11.00-13.99 which is just the cdc light bars???

And IHRA tracks (some are NHRA some are IHRA) has a different set of requirements. IHRA requires a 4pt roll bar at anything under a 13.5 in a vert and a 6pt at anything under 11.99 with an 8pt cage at 11.00.
