Default Question about jacking car up

[hr]I was changing the exhaust and couldn't get the rear pipe to come out, so my friend told me to jack on the differntial housing and my dumb *** caved in and did it. Did I do any damage, it was for just about 30 seconds. Thanks for any help.

its more of a safety issue jacking the middle of the differential will not damage anything its just not the safest way.

safety as the car falling on you or driving away? My buddy jacked mine up by the rear end pumpkin today to look at something underneath it and it started to roll a lil bit. so i had to put a brick on the front tire
