Yeah mvr reset the ecu by unplugging the battery. Laterus, you should take it to autozone and have the code pulled. That will tell you whether the prob is ignition, vacuum, timing etc.

That could be your problem... unless your car is tuned for premium, Ford has tuned these cars to run on 87! Here is the word for word from the owners manual...

"Your vehicle is designed to use"regular" unleaded gasoline with an (R=M)/2 octane rating of 87. We do not recomend the use of gasolines labeld as "regular" that are sold with octane ratings of 86 or lower in high altitude areas."

"Premium unleaded gasoline is not recomended because it may cause these problems to become more pronounced"(starting, rough idle or hesitation driveability problems during cold start)

"It should not be necessary to add any aftermarket products to your fuel tank if you continue to use high quallity fuel of the recommended octane rating. Aftermarket products could cause damage to the fuel system."

That could be it... or ya just got some bad gas! Ever replaced your fuel filter?
Took the words right outta my mouth....

dont change your o2 sensors thats probably not your probelm. basicalyyour o2 sensors monitor your a/f and the computer will constantly change your fuel trim to compensate. if the computer keeps trying to adjust your a/f and its not succesfull, it can thro a code for the o2s. your best bet is to disconect the battery for 10 minits. this will reset everything in your computer. If the check engine light comes back on then come back and post again. bad gas may give you a code like that.

What octane are you running? And are you sure you put in "regular" gas and not that E-85 crap?
Huh? Where do you live. I live in the Philly area and all the gas stations around here are E-85 and I get the E-85 93 octane and I don't get a check engine and I have a 93 tune.

My friend used octane boost in his GT cause he had an engine knock. Now the knock got louder. I told him he is a dumbass and that our cars don't need an octane boost if we are already running 93 in our 93 tuned cars.

No, no you are horribly mistaken. I come from the leader of ethanol (Iowa) so I am pretty well versed in this subject. E-85 is completely differant than your regular 89-91 and 93 octane rated pump gas. You are correct that you are pumping an ethanol mixed gas, but it only has about 5-10% ethanol. If you were to put E-85 into a non E-85 engine the result would be a blown engine very very quickly. Kinda like running diesel through a gas engine.

Different forms of fuel;

diesel

pump gas, usaully carries a rating of 87-93 and can have a ethanol mix to drive the price lower and boost the octane.

E-85, 85% ethanol. very few places to get it right now, and can only be used in E-85 vehicles which to my knowledge are all trucks at this time

Run 87/89 in your ride........I used to be HARDCORE 93 Octane man until I bought this GT and this thing runs WAAAAYYY better on either 87 or 89. I figure it this way (and I could be wrong) but if you run 93 octane and it is not fully detonating......I theorize that that unspent fuel finds it's way out into the exhaust and onto the 02 sensor. Now if you burn the lower octane and the unspent fuel is cut back, then the 02 sensor will not get "wet" or caked and give your ECM the correct reading...Like I said this is theory but it is a DAMN good one
