I have an '04 gt- and want to get long tube headers. Will long tube headers prevent me from passing emission tests even with a shorty catted xpipe?

Well, I actually have a way to pass emissions tests regardless of my setup- but if I ever decide to sell the car, it could be a problem if it won't pass.

Im from New York also, and i pass with them, as long as you have cats on the car and the check engine light is off they pass you

you'll be able to pass a sniffer with cats, but you'll fail a visual in most states. i live in ny and our "emissions check" is actually only a plug in to see if your computer has any CELs. you can fool the computer if you have no cats with either MIL eliminators or a hand held tuner to turn them off completely.

What is a MIL? I think my diablosport predator tuner does this- Can I just mod my car with my diablo and pass emissions without a problem in NY with "sniffer" tests?

NY has no sniffer, they just plug into theOBDII port to make sure the computer isn't throwing any codes.

MILs are just a fake 02 sensor
