I heard convert's can cause issues with LT installs as well since there are supports in the way (but that could just be bad info). I have a shop here that only does mods for rides...new era performance- they said it would be $600 labor for the install.

I guess ~$600 for headers and ~$600 for the install isn't that bad. From what I hear, I could gain 20hp with LT's and non-catted x/hpipe

yea, my first time took about 10-11 hours... second about 8ish... and now im on my 4th and last time took me about 5 hours... nice thing is i have a tubular k now and the driver side header slid up and all the bolts got tightened without even moving the k member and with very little struggle.. lol. i have access to all the bolts on the pass. side, but the starter part of the tranny makes it so it wont slide up there...

i gained 16 rwhp just from the LT's and that was N/A.....expect about 25 rwhp from LT's....what kind of headers are you looking at? i have MAC ceramic coated ones and they only cost me $450 and are just as good as anything else.....what tranny do you have again?

if you can do it i would do it myself... just takes an extra friend to kinda help get the k member back on the car... that would save you that 600 which then could be invested into nitrous or a stall and shift kit...

I have an automatic convertible. I hear ceramic coated is the way to go. I know that the shop I get work done at can build custom headers by hand, but I'm not sure if I should trust it or not. I have no brands in mind at this time.

Go with MAC ceramic coated, thats what i have and they are great...with an auto your pretty much limited to MAC or SLP, and SLP's are big $$$$ and hang wayyy too far down
