Well, I think Mach 1s are only 3v and so are new GTs. From what I hear the new new GTs are nice, but the New Edge GTs can keep up with gears and a few mods. the New Edge GTs lose their luster with the 2v heads (boooooooo) so they arent as responsive to the mods that the 3 and 4v heads are. My own personal opinion... I like the look of the New Edge Mach 1/GTs better than the SN-195.
Machshave a4v motor, whichis almost identical to the 99/01 cobra motors. The 05+ are sn197. [sm=icon_cheers.gif]
the 94-04 are sn95 (in chassis, but the 99+ got new body panels) the 05+ are s197, no n

3v > 4v

I traded in the Celica for an 05 GT with a 5spd and with 27,000 miles. I paid $21,147 + taxes and all that other stuff. Here is a link to it:

Well Ive driven many mustangs from 99-01 cobras, 03-04 cobras (fastest stock), 03-04 mach's with auto and manual trans (manual was faster, stock), 99-04 gt's and 05/06 gt with auto and manual trans (5speed auto was about as fast as the manual. By far I hear more positive comments about the mach 1 than an 05+gt and with equal mods, I think the mach will pull better in the higher rpm's and run a better 1/4 mile time. Im being honest here as well. Wish I had a 03+ cobra though.

Not really. I have a warranty and its an 05 with 27,000 miles and it was only $21,000 which is under retail. I found 3 Mach 1's, 1 was $21,000 with about 45,000 miles on it, 1 was $19,000 with 55,000 miles and 1 was $20,500 and had 25,000 miles, but it was about 275 miles away. The 3v is pretty nice stock and I was checkin out a C&L intake with the SCT tune and Brenspeed got their 05 GT with C&L intake and SCT tune along with Mac mufflers to run a 12.8 in the 1/4 mile. So that is atleast .6-.8 seconds in the 1/4 mile that the intake and tune gave.

Well i got mine for 22k with 8k miles on it! But personally i think the mach 1 has the 05+ GT's beat hands down in looks and and performance.. Reasons being that well i really never much liked the looks of a stock GT and thoughits not by much, it has a bit more hp..

I wouldn't count to much on the times you see shops/manufactuerers run.. usually things are a bit "padded".

Dont get me wrong, I love the Mach 1's and would have took one. But I was thinkin in the long run an 05 GT would be a better deal than an 03 Mach 1. For some reason I couldnt find any 04's, but oh well. The Mach 1 is about .2-.3 faster in the 1/4 mile than the 05+ GT's, but I went from an auto 01 GT to this, so its a big jump for me.

I know, but this car was full interior and full weightand with ET streets. I thinktheET streets helped out tremendously, their trap was 105, which is kinda low for a 12.8. I know they can drive much better and all, but I'm still excited and its a 3v.

I neither think there's anything wrong with 05+ GT's! I've seen a few that had me lookin twice, but I would prefer a mach 1! Hey! Atleast neither are geo metro's! Ha!
