Default Vert or Coupe ?

Hey guys I'm in the market for an 04 Mustang GT w/ Automatic Transmission and had a couple of questions.

1. What is the weight/performance difference between the 04 GT Convertible/Couple ?

2. Would exhaust (long-tube headers, xpipe, catback) and Subframe Connectors (weld-in) be different for either one ?

the coupe is like 3150 pounds and convertible is 3300 pounds pretty much..its like a .1-2 difference..but its worth the difference with the vert =P

Ive heard that the wieght difference is anywhere between 150-300lbs more for the vert, and i think that verts come with sub frame connectors but you might as well upgrade those when you feel you need them.

get the vert, its a little heavier, but it will retain more of its value in the long run when you plan to move on from the vehicle.

Vert is more fun in nice weather. The weight difference is negligible.

you wont notice a difference in performance on teh street. hell you wouldnt notice much on the track neither. prolly just .1 or something. I love my vert, they are a pain in the winter but the summer really makes up for it

why are they a pain in the winter?? i dont live where it snows only when it rains very rarely ( los angeles ) and i like the sound of the rain hitting my vert top rather than a hard top.

I drive mine all year-round & in Ontario Canada we get HEAVY winters. Yea a winter beater would be a good choice but, I decided to just get a set of 4 real snow tires & steel rims, & X my fingers

So far it's worked just fine in winter. And the top is well insulated, it's not cold inside the car at all. An extra +1 is that the rear window is glass with a defroster!
