hey guys, this may kinda be a stupid question, but anybody know how i can install my k/n air filter?, want to replace the old stock paper filter.

Unbolt the little nut holding thefiltercover to the fender. After that pull the little clamp open thats around the filter cover. Pull the whole thing out and pop the filter in. Also while your doing that you should remove your air silencer. It is a piece of rubber sticking out of the filter shroud. they say it adds a couple hp.

It is a very simple process. Go look under your hood and locate the air box. You will see that clamp thing that holds it in place, you will also need to remove that nut/bolt/screw that holds it into place. Once you do that, then slide out the airbox and replace the filter. Very simple task.

Yes, I also recommend removing the silencer (the rubber thing that goes into the fender).

It's function is to make incoming air quieter. But they say it is a restriction in the intake, They did an article in 5.0 magazine where they removed it and picked up like 2 or 3 hp.
