My new ride! UPDATE: new pics
Hey guys!
I just picked my car up today! I'm pretty pumped. It's a 02 gt 5 spd. with 35k on her and babied its whole life. Absolutely perfect condition. The best part is that this morning was the first time I've driven stick (18). Anyways I'm hoping to order Slp Lm1's or 2's, haven't decided yet, and a mach 1 grill delete within the next few weeks.
Just got a few quick shots after I washed it, then it rained. My camera does not do the car justice.

RE: My new ride!
you sound like me (19). i learned to drive stick on a 92 saturn POS. haha and it took a while to get used to the horsies. my problem was i was getting to the engaging point of the clutch too slow then i let it out too fast. just work with it a bit..you'll be fine

Clean car man! Enjoy it. [8D]
I learned to drive on my Stang too, just keep practing and you will get it. It's ALL in the clutch man. Don't worry about hot rodding the car yet, just get used to driving it smoothly.
Some advice... modulate the clutch using your ENTIRE foot/leg, not just the ball of your foot like the gas pedal. The clutch moves differently than the gas pedal. Also when in doubt give it more gas than less.

Nice looking car, one of the best colors. How much you get it for? Decent miles on it.

Congratz. Nice ride. Driving stick is easy. First step: Completly ignore that pedal on the left, you don't need.Just grab hold of the gear shift and push and pull as HARD as you can whenever you want to shift. If the car starts making "awful grinding noises." Don't worry, that means you're doing it right! Kidding, kidding. Driving stick is pretty easy, don't think too much about it. Just drive it. It's TONS of fun once you get the hang of it. +1 on it being all in the clutch. Just let it out slowly and smoothly going into first and your golden.

RE: My new ride!
thanks for the advice guys, I didn't get the greatest deal but I'm happy, I paid $14,453 out the door with a two 2 year ford extended warranty. The guy that had it before me really took care of it so I didn't mind paying a little extra, and these friggin things are not easy to find around here either. And no mommy and daddy are not paying a cent for this. I work my as$ off and still manage to my keep grades up. I just hope there aren't any jealous punks at my school that try to screw with it, but I should be all set because I haven't pissed anyone off recently and most of the kids and my school are cool enough that they wouldn't do that.
