I was told to just avoid the Big Companies such as EXXON and SHELL etc and only buy from their competetors, forcing them to lower their prices...almost sounds like a plan, except I donno who all doesnt get their gas from those companies....If we knew, we could all just start using that place.

It all boils down to the heads of these gas companies lining their pockets with more money than they can spend in ten lifetimes . I drive a volvo that gets around 30 mpg and I drive the stang on the weekend. Gas around here is 2.93 for premium and both of my cars use premium . The mustang uses it because it's tuned for it the volvo uses it because if I don't it rattles like a deisel . I think it needs a timing chain .Anyways the gas companies keep supplies low just so prices will be high . I mean why produce alot just to sell it for less when you can produce less and sell it for more ? In europe gas is around 2 - 3 euros per LITER that's why people drive crappy cars or bicycles over there . And over here when kids turn 16 they think they are entitled to a car . We just need to get a better form of public transportation in the states , and keep those damn teenagers off the road . Where are they going that is so important anyways ?

and the government isn't helping by taxing it like 50 cents per gallon either . Just like beer (I don't drink ) and cigarettes . **** I love America but I hate hate hate the polititians who run this country whether their democrats or republicans . I mean when was the last time there was a polititian who really cared about the people ? It's like on south park you'll always have to choose between a douche or a turd sandwich .

You simply can't do this! If you drive as normal you will still burn the same amount and simply fill either on the 14th or the 16th! Unless you plan to stay home, THEN EVERYONE who stays home will cause a HUGE effect on gas prices! I walk to work so I don't complain about the prices! I will never work more than 15 minutes from my house unless my job is paying me more to compensate for it. I live in Albany, so everything is relatively close! Good Luck since I pump My 2000 Silverado $50 once a month...LOL
